BRP Contribution Helps Volunteers Improve Snowmobile Trails
Snowmobile clubs across Ontario are recipients of over $105,000 in value from the Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program. This generous contribution will assist volunteers with trail operations thanks to BRP, maker of Ski-Doo snowmobiles.
OFSC clubs received almost $84,000 cash, $9,000 in Parts, Accessories & Clothing contributions and one very lucky recipient, the New Dundee Snowmobile Club, was awarded a 2009 Ski-Doo 50th Anniversary Special Edition MX Z snowmobile valued at $12,599.
81% of clubs belonging to the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) participated in the Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program, which ran from coast to coast last fall. Invented and manufactured in Canada, Ski-Doo snowmobiles are the world’s best selling brand.
“We are very grateful to BRP for recognizing and supporting the Go Snowmobiling efforts of our club volunteers with this contribution,” said Bruce Robinson, OFSC President. “Ski-Doo has partnered with us from the beginning of organized snowmobiling over 40 years ago and we hope every OFSC snowmobiler appreciates their giving back so generously today to improve our trails.”
The Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program also helped build stronger local connections between clubs and their local Ski-Doo dealers, who actively participated by setting up displays promoting the program. Many dealers will be making Club Support Program presentations to local clubs in the coming weeks.
The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is dedicated to providing strong leadership and support to member clubs and volunteers, to establishing and maintaining quality snowmobile trails which are used in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, and to furthering the enjoyment of organized snowmobiling.
