Ski-Doo, an iconic brand of BRP Inc. (TSX/NASDAQ: DOO), and Carl Kuster Mountain Park are proud to announce the inaugural Carl Kuster Legacy Award (CKLA).

Created to recognize those who have gone over and above to elevate the sport of snowmobiling, the Carl Kuster Legacy Award honors a lifetime of passion, leadership, stewardship, and innovation.

Recognizing that there are a lot of heroes worthy of an award like this – many are known, but many are not – the CKLA provides a wide platform to recognize some of those individuals that might not fit into a typical category along with those that do.

The award began as a ground swell effort as Carl’s peers felt it was time to recognize a truly outstanding person who would never consider naming any kind of an award after himself. Carl has been selflessly helping people enjoy snowmobiling and powersports all his life.

It’s never been about him showing people how good he is. It has always been about helping riders get the most out of their days on snow and showing them how good they can be. It’s the spirit of service, community, and advancement that this award came to be and is all about.

Criteria for this award:

• Giving of time, knowledge and effort in betterment of the sport
• Effort to grow the sport
• Stewardship of trails / riding areas
• Club involvement
• Overall advocacy
• Innovation in Sport or Product – pushing boundaries
• Creating lasting impact

This year’s winner will be announced at Hay Days September 12th in the Ski-Doo booth at 10:00 AM. Nominations for next year’s award will begin in March of 2027. The public will be able to participate by nominating individuals they feel worthy of recognition through the CKMP website. More information will be shared in due time.

The nomination and selection committee for 2026:

• Marshall Kronewitt – Partner CKMP
• Tony Jenkins – Ski-Doo Ambassador

• Ross Halvorson – BRP Partnerships
• Steve Cowing – BRP Public Relations

Now that the award has been introduced, this group will be asking other members of the snowmobile community to join for 2027 to ensure a broad reach and that all aspects of the sport are covered.
