TORQUE CONTROL LINK IS NOT NEW!

Dear Motorhead:

I am reading the newest edition of SUPERTRAX on Zinio and you mentioned the Arctic Cat torque control link is brand new and never thought of. Didn’t FAST link the drive train on their Blade sleds?

I bought a new 2012 F800 but think credit should go where due.

Dear Wilson:

Thanks for your email!

We did not mean to infer the idea is new – however AC’s execution is unique.

The idea of linking clutches together has been attempted by many aftermarket whiz kid/inventors.

Unfortunately these efforts have almost always come to the same end – broken clutch bolts, crankshafts and cracked jackshaft bearing mounts.

Arctic’s method of keeping the engine and jackshaft vibration isolated but locked in tandem both horizontally and vertically – is genius – in our opinion.

Keep in mind many of the efforts to accomplish this in the past only addressed center to center consistency. The TCL does that and stops twisting as well.

Thanks,

Motorhead Mark
