Snowcross Racing returns to Searchmont Resort, on December 8th. 9th. & 10th. Hundreds of the worlds best snowmobile racing teams will descend upon Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario for the annual “Stud Boy World Cup Snowcross Races”. The CSRA National Championship Snowcross race will serve as a qualifier for the 2007 Winter X-Games in Aspen, CO.
The Searchmont races will feature (1000) racer entries from across Canada and the USA. Searchmont is well known to racers as one of the best Snowcross race courses in the world with its 100′ foot wide, 1/4 mile vertical starting line and its challenging jumps, and downhill drop offs, twists and turns.
The ½ mile Snowcross race course will be built on the mountain and will be made with both natural and man-made snow.
Friday will be designated as a open practice day to allow all racers to test their new sleds. Competitors must pre register with the CSRA one week in advance.
Saturdays races will feature qualifying for all race classes, as well as, the Finals for the WPSA – Pro Open Winter X-Games Qualifier.
Racing will take place from 10:00 AM – 4:00PM.
Sundays races will feature qualifying in the morning, then all (5) CSRA National Pro Finals will race starting at 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM.
The Searchmont event will include on site Snowmobile & ATV vendor displays, as well, spectators will have opportunity to meet Pro racers and get their autographs both days. Kids will each receive Free Posters and racing stickers.
Gates open to spectators:
Saturday December 9, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
Sunday, December 10, 9:00AM – 3:00PM.
Spectator admission:
Youth & Adult: One day Pass $15
Kids: 5-12 years. One day Pass $10
Kids under 5 and Seniors are Free.
