Set Your Phazer To Stun

Your Mom will hate it. If that isn’t a strong enough endorsement of the new Phazer, we don’t know what is. With one glance, you know loud and clear Yamaha has targeted its newest model at Gen Y buyers.

Its front end chops off abruptly ahead of the windshield leaving A-frames, tie rods and sway bar naked to the elements. For protection there’s an ATV style nerf bar at the front and a hood the size of your helmet’s peak.

At the rear the pencil thin motocross style seat is jacked above the tunnel and… what’s this? The tunnel stamping has giant slots cut into its top so you’re looking directly at the top of the track through it. The hooker handlebars and tall riser are home to an IPOD style digital instrument cluster the size of a pack of Winstons.

If looks alone can intimidate, the Phazer’s styling corps can be credited with creating a sled with the nastiest, most raw boned aura of any snowmobile ever mass produced.

It’s agile, athletic and threatening at the same time…like Lance Armstrong wielding a battle axe.

New Polaris AF-1 Helmet With Anti-Fog Performance

0

Press Release –

Winning Performance cannot be bred in a laboratory setting. That’s why Polaris combined development work done in the Polaris engineering center with extensive real-world, on-snow testing to produce the new Polaris AF-1 Helmet, which provides riders with outstanding anti-fog performance.

Polaris engineers worked on the AF-1 in company engineering facilities to determine the best combination of designs, materials and shield coatings for this helmet. Their in-house development work was complemented by rigorous testing on the trails.

To create this helmet of the future, Polaris development specialists studied helmets currently regarded as state of the art. The team identified performance flaws and developed materials and designs to successfully prevent fogging. The result is the technologically advanced AF-1 – the future of anti-fog helmets.

Hard-riding Polaris engineers who log thousands of miles on their personal sleds in their free time became deeply involved in the AF-1 project. These riders cannot afford to have their shields fog up when they’re hundreds of miles from home, so they added their expertise to make the new AF-1 a helmet riders can trust to keep vision clear on every ride.

The AF-1’s PureSeal™ technology is incredibly effective at deflecting exhaled breath so it doesn’t reach the inside of the shield, which is a primary cause of fogging. The newly designed breath deflector has dual venturi exhaust vents to remove exhaled breath. The deflector adjusts to the rider’s face for a customized fit and delivers consistently reliable performance even during aggressive riding.

The shield of the AF-1 features an improved anti-fogging coating that resists fogging from any breath that might escape the deflector and also features anti-scratch properties to keep the shield clear.

The AF-1 has a tough, protective alloy polycarbonate shell and a multi-layer EPS lining for impact protection. Its Nylex liner is removable and washable, the “Quiet Ride” interior enhances a rider’s experience, and there are adjustable crown (top of helmet) and chin vents.

The AF-1 has earned Snell M2005 certification and is DOT-approved. It is available in Red, Blue, or Silver, each with exciting graphics, for an MSRP of $159.99 US/$204.99 CAN. It also comes in all-black at an MSRP of $154.99 U.S./$199.99 CAN. It is available in sizes S-3XL from Polaris snowmobile dealers or at purepolaris.com.

’07 Arctic Cat Z1 Jaguar

Press Release –

Performance Refined 4-Stroke

Winterize your convertible, but not the spirit! The Z1 4-stroke motor in the Jaguar is the first power plant specifically designed for a snowmobile. What’s the end result? A performance refined lay down 4-stroke that makes you ride better, faster and longer.

The all-new Z1, boasts 1100cc, 125 horsepower, in a naturally aspirated motor delivering loads of power and torque in a compact package, strategically placed for mass centralization within the chassis for ultimate performance trail handling.

Multi-port fuel injection aids in precise fuel delivery, while the new ACT Diamond direct drive system puts the power to the ground while moving forward, as well as back, with the addition of push button reverse.

The Z1 Jaguar sets a new standard in the Arctic Cat Performance category. This ultra-quiet snowmobile not only delivers the smoothest 4-stroke power, but has the best ergonomics in the industry as well as fit and finish that is bar none – the best!

The Infinite Rider Positioning system (IRP) can accommodate an infinite number of rider positions for a multitude of rider sizes and riding styles. The seven adjustment seat structure allows you to move your seat forward over three inches, while moving it vertical over two inches with one hand adjustment

You’ve seen adjustable handlebars, but none this simple and ergonomically correct. The new adjustable riser is the second half of the IRP system. With the flip of a cam-lever, you can adjust your riser bar, eleven positions fore and aft, while rotating your handlebars infinitely within an 85 degree range. No longer will you have to ride with any weird handlebar angles or awkward brake or throttle lever positions.

The Jaguar comes standard with a 5-position adjustable height windshield. Operators will easily be able to unlock, reposition and lock the windshield without tools to increase wind protection while still maintaining a racy appearance lacking in traditional tall windshields.

Arctic Cat has a long lineage of class dominating trail handling history. The new Twin Spar chassis marks the first true rider forward position while our seventh generation AWS front suspension smoothes out the harshest trail conditions with the flattest cornering under power.

In every Arctic Cat lies a little racing heritage, like the rear Slide Action suspension system that has been race proven on Arctic Cat 440 Sno Pro sleds across the world.

2007 is definitely The Year of the Cat! New Cat styling, new performance refined 4-stroke power, new ergonomic technology and the best handling characteristics you’ve ever set cheeks on!

The Ski-Doo MXZ-XRS Is A Racer – Honest!

With snocross wannabe sleds offered for almost a decade, there’s a tinge of cynicism when we here names like “X”, “Sno-Pro” and Pro-X”. After all, no manufacturer in its right mind would actually package up and sell a limited build racer to customers, right?

Enter the MXZ-XRS. This early-order-only snowmobile is not just another MX-Z with reservoir shocks and a handlebar riser, this is the real deal. We checked out the RS (Racer Special) from tip to tail and every single 440 racer trick is here.

The tunnel, the reinforced Flying Nun bulkhead, the spindles, the skid, the bars, the seat and even the 440 holeshot-button is included! Although this hot-button activates the RER.
