HUNTERWORKS SNOWMOBILE BELTS

0

After more than two decades of setting the standard for CVT belt technology in the off-road world, Hunterworks Inc. is officially bringing its proven expertise to the snowmobile industry.

Known across the UTV and side-by-side market for delivering some of the best CVT belts and clutching solutions available, Hunterworks is now applying that same “no shortcuts” philosophy to Ski-Doo and Arctic Cat snowmobiles.

Founded in April 2003, Hunterworks began exactly how many great American success stories do—building products at home, by hand, for machines they personally owned and used. What started with accessories for John Deere Gators quickly evolved into a reputation as the industry leader in UTV clutching. Despite being a small, family-owned company with just six employees, Hunterworks has consistently outperformed much larger competitors by focusing on one thing: doing it right.

Every product Hunterworks sells meets a simple test, is it something they already use or would use themselves. That mindset has earned them a loyal following and the reputation for providing high quality products. Hunterworks belts and components aren’t about chasing trends or cutting costs; they’re about durability, performance, and keeping customers happy long after the sale.

Snowmobilers can now expect that same level of commitment. Hunterworks’ American-made CVT belts for Ski-Doo and Arctic Cat are designed with the same hands-on development process that built their off-road success. Real-world testing, relentless R&D, and a deep understanding of how machines are actually ridden all play a role in bringing these belts to market.

Hunterworks believes in honor, honesty, integrity, loyalty, and good old-fashioned handshake deals—and that philosophy doesn’t change with the season. Whether it’s dirt, mud, or snow, their mission remains the same: deliver quality products, stand behind them, and treat customers like old friends.

The trail just got a whole lot stronger.

KLIM F3 Carbon Helmet and EDGE Snow Goggles

0

This season I’ve been riding with the KLIM F3 Carbon Helmet in Electric Blue Lemonade, paired with the matching KLIM EDGE Snow Goggles, and this setup has genuinely exceeded my expectations.

Normally, we avoid testing new gear on long rides or in extreme cold, but after damaging my previous helmet I had no choice. Fortunately, this helmet and goggle combination performed flawlessly right out of the box.

The F3 Carbon Helmet is built around a carbon fiber shell, delivering an excellent balance of strength and reduced weight. KLIM lists it as the lightest ECE-certified helmet in their lineup, weighing approximately 1150 grams, which is immediately noticeable during long, technical rides.

More importantly, the helmet meets and exceeds the ECE 22.06 safety standard, a significantly more demanding certification that includes enhanced impact testing, rotational energy management, and testing across a wider range of real-world crash scenarios. This brings a high level of confidence for aggressive on-trail and off-trail riding.

Beyond its striking design, the F3 Carbon is packed with rider-focused features. The helmet uses a removable, washable antimicrobial liner with moisture-wicking materials to manage sweat during high-output riding, while 3D-shaped cheek pads provide a secure and comfortable fit.

An extra-large eye port is designed specifically to integrate seamlessly with snow goggles, improving peripheral vision and reducing pressure points. KLIM has also refined the peak visor, making it stronger and more aerodynamic to minimize lift and vibration at speed. A Fidlock® magnetic chin strap allows for fast, glove-friendly operation without sacrificing security.

The F3 Carbon Helmet is also highly ventilated and with 13 intake vents and 6 exhaust vents, delivers excellent airflow, even during aggressive riding or warmer spring conditions. For riders who run hot, the ventilation keeps heat buildup under control and when temperatures drop, KLIM offers an optional F3 Windstopper liner that snaps in beneath the standard liner, significantly reducing wind penetration and heat loss without compromising fit.

The KLIM EDGE Snow Goggles are a natural pairing for the F3 Carbon Helmet. This goggle’s frameless design minimizes snow and ice buildup while maximizing field of view. The triple-layer moisture-wicking face foam seals cleanly against the helmet’s large eye port, keeping cold air drafts out while maintaining comfort during long days on the sled.

The goggles feature a dual-pane lens with KLIM’s anti-fog treatment, using a sealed air barrier to reduce temperature differences and resist fogging in changing conditions. Optical clarity is excellent, and the wide lens opening enhances situational awareness on both tight trails and open terrain.

For riders looking for a moto-style snowmobile helmet and goggle setup that delivers lightweight comfort, modern safety certification, excellent ventilation, and reliable cold-weather performance, the KLIM F3 Carbon Helmet and EDGE Snow Goggles are absolutely worth a look.
