2016 Champion: troy burt

Name: Troy Burt

Age: 30 years old but luckily my bones still flex like rubber before they break!

FROM: Virgin Arm, Newfoundland, Canada

PASSION: Snowmobiling! Proving to the world a person can do anything they put their mind too! I have a love for motorsports

SNOWMOBILING HISTORY: I've been riding all my life. My dad started me on an Elan. I have owned many Ski-doo snowmobiles since. I couldn't ask for a better brand and company to take my riding to the next level. I've been all over Canada, Colorado and my home province of Newfoundland (Newfoundland’s snowmobile conditions would surprise the world!).

Why I Entered NATS: I entered NATS because I thought I actually deserved the title. I have a passion for snowmobiling that runs deep. It's gotten me through hard spots in my life and I don't know where I would be without this great sport!

Did I Think I Could Win?: I thought that once people read and heard my story, saw my pictures and videos they would see I truly love this. Anyone who rides with me will agree snowmobiling is a huge part of my life. Ski-doo has always been the brand that’s been there on those cold, crisp mornings

Most Profound Moment in My Life: Waking up in a hospital bed 5 weeks after my horrific motorcycle accident with a foot missing, a broken neck and many more injuries. But I said to myself "I got this - I'll make this work". I remember sitting-up in the hospital bed thinking about how I was going to ride a snowmobile the coming winter!

What’s "Five Toes Riding": 5toesriding is everything that is me! It's my way of showing the world to never give up! Push for your dreams. I want to use it as a place amputees can go for help, to see what's possible. I'd love to team up with other disabled riders to make it as best as it can be. I want people to be able to follow along with my day to day activities and see how much work I actually put into everything I do. 5ToesRiding will be a household name someday

Advice For This Year’s NATS – US vs Canada Competitors: If you truly think you are North Americas Top Snowmobiler do what I did last year and put your heart into it! It took a lot of work for me to win NATS last year. Let people see your passion and they will vote to put you on top! We're all here to promote our sport, we're all friends but we're all going to razz each other like family

What 2017 Grand Prize Ski-Doo Sled Did You Pick: I picked a new 2017 Summit X 154" T3 with the new 850 E-TEC! I can't freak’in wait to get it in my garage!
