EASTERN CANADIAN SNOW DRAG CHAMPIONSHIP

C.A.M.A.O. was proud to announce on December 11th 2009, that it would host the first EASTERN CANADIAN SNOW DRAG CHAMPIONSHIP, a spectacular annual event not to miss.

The president of C.A.M.A.O., Mr. Darryl Geldart, makes a point of recalling that the C.A.M.A.O. is the only snomobile drag racing circuit on snow in all of Eastern Canada and that this circuit was founded in Abitibi-Temiscamingue, and is now a full ISR (International Snowmobile Racing Assocaition) affiliate.

The Championship event will take place from the 20th to 23rd January 2011, with two days of free trials for the competitors on the Sinto Racing Track in La Sarre, followed by two days of intense competitions and full of fast action.

The competitors and there amazing machines will be a sight not to miss, because it has never been seen in Abitibi-Temiscamingue yet.

The competitors will reveal their know how and will compete for their part of a garanteed purse of $10,000, plus the 100% payback on registration fees; a total purse that could exceed $25,000.

The organization anticipates receiving competitors from all over Quebec, Ontario and the Maritime provinces and even some from the USA, with participation reaching over 350 registrations for this Championship event.

C.A.M.A.O. would like to see the presence of its regional competitors who would accept the challenge of representing us and competing against some of the best Eastern Canadien competitors available.

The organization would like to underline the confirmed implication of two major financial parteners for this event, the Regional Tourist Association who will contribute for $10,000 as well as the contribution of $7,800 from the SADC of Abitibi-Ouest.

The economic reprecussions of this event will be important and we will encourage the local and regional purchase policy during the entire preparation of the Championship.

C.A.M.A.O.’s goal is to promote snowmobile drag racing and other similar activities in a secure and safe environment on a regional circuit. The professionalism of our organization attracts competitors from all over Abitibi-Temiscamingue, Outaouais and Northern Ontario.
